Isla Reta and Babusanta Beach Resorts: Another Dose for the Beach Bums

The beach is one of my favorite pastimes.  It really amazes me how the sand and the ocean take away the worries and pressures in life ( hmm…for a moment, yeah). It’s really a wonder how God created all these.

The Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS) situated in Davao Gulf is  blessed with beautiful islands/islets and beaches. In my previous post  “Top Beaches in Samal” Island, I gave you 5 beaches I have gone to BUT  there are hundreds of beaches and beach resorts in the island that are worth mentioning. So here is another dose of  Samal beaches for you guys. Add these two on your list.

ISLA RETA, Talicud Island, IGaCos

It was a holiday – Labor Day May 1st-  so friends and I decided to have some sandtastic time – at Isla Reta

What a beautiful cove, isn’t it? The blue sky, the crystal clear waters, the powdery sand… Just breathtaking.

On our way to Isla Reta. The pretty lady in pink is Mia, my friend.

After an hour or more of travel (from Sta Ana Wharf, Davao), finally we arrived at the resort. (That’s Meri on the photo.)

That’s the view from our cottage, the camping ground. Very relaxing.

Tourists and travelers enjoying the lush beach resort.

The water is just sooooo crystal clear! We even see fish even without the help of goggles or snorkeling gears.

They aren’t enjoying their holiday at the beach, are they?

ah… see how clear the water is?

Now, let’s take a look at

It was my first time at Babusanta Resort. Thanks to YWAM Davao and the Colorado Team ( I forgot their church name) for the free island hopping adventure.

The lush and serene beach resort is lined with huts and cottages.

Our boat looks great in this photo, right? No editing done.

That’s me enjoying the beautiful view. (^___^)

Our friends from Colorado enjoying the sand. I was amazed when one of them told us it was his first time to hit the beach! That’s why they love the country and they wish they live in a tropical country like ours. It’s really more fun in the Philippines!

??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????

What is a beach getaway without sumptuous food, right?

Right after we enjoyed the beach, we proceeded to Angel’s Cove for some snorkelin’. I will post the pics in my next post, okay?
Till then beach bums.
